Samir Nasri believes the vital Champions League win over AS Roma on Wednesday night shows just how good a team Manchester City is.
The Premier League champions defeated the Italians 2-0 in Rome to qualify for the Round of 16 in Europe's premier club competition without they key trio of Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero.
Nasri, who scored the crucial opening goal with a thunderbolt from range on the hour-mark, feels City showed their quality to produce such a result with so many of their top players on the sidelines.
"We like to do it the hard way," Nasri said. "We always believe in our quality and in the last few weeks we have been back to our best.
"We showed we are a team. When Kompany, Yaya Toure and Sergio Aguero are not there - I think for any other team it would be really difficult but we showed we could do it."
City will learn Round of 16 opponents when the Champions League draw takes place in Nyon, Switzerland on Monday, December 16.
