Victory's Berger to miss up to three

Melbourne Victory's speedy left back Evan Berger will miss up to three matches with a torn hamstring. The 21-year old sustained the injury at training on Wednesday and it comes as a major setback for the Victory given Berger's recent good form.

"It could be three or four weeks," Victory coach Ernie Merrick said yesterday.

"He just took off and tore the hamstring. He's been playing so well and he's improved so much and we weren't expecting him to be locking down a first 11 spot. But he's been a consistent performer."
