Chelsea have successfully fought off the attentions of Real Madrid in two of their title winners.
Real had plans to sign Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois this summer, making contact with both Belgians during the season.
However, Marca says Real have dropped their pursuit of the two Blues this week.
With a deal close for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, Real have ended all communication with Courtois' camp.
And in Hazard's case, with Chelsea showing little willingness to negotiate, Real are giving up. Indeed, there's a feeling inside the club that promoting Marcos Asensio next season would be the better option.
