Melbourne Victory coach Ernie Merrick is ready for next week's A-League Grand Final. Merrick is calling on the city of Melbourne to come out in force at the Telstra Dome next weekend to provide a hostile environment for whoever happens to play-off against the Victory.

"The city of Melbourne and the state of Victoria are fantastic and nowhere deserves a Grand Final more than here," Merrick said.

"We hope to get a huge crowd, it would be fantastic to have a sea of blue shirts in the stands and we want to present a really intimidating home Grand Final for whoever comes to meet us."
