Melbourne Victory has announced Oliana Foods as the team’s new joint principal partner and away shirt sponsor, reports SportsPro.
The Australian-owned food company’s logo will appear on the front of Victory’s away playing shirts for the remainder of the 2012/13 season.
Though the financial terms of the sponsorship were not released, based on deals of a similar nature, Oliana Food’s sponsorship of Melbourne Victory is estimated to be worth in the region of US$350,000.
Richard Wilson, Melbourne Victory managing director, said: “There’s no doubt that this season is going to be one of the best in the Hyundai A-League’s history and we are very pleased to have Oliana Foods with us to continue the journey.
“The Oliana Foods logo will also sit proudly on Victory’s electricity-coloured away top and from the shirts I have seen, the Oliana Foods brand is certainly a good fit,” Mr Wilson added.
Oliana Foods have an existing agreement with Victory, with the club’s coach, Ange Postecoglou, already having the food company’s logo emblazoned on his collar.
On signing the sponsorship, Oliana Foods director Bill Floropoulos said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to extend our support of Melbourne Victory as the club’s new joint principal partner and we will be very happy to see our logo on the team’s away kit this season. Oliana Foods prides itself on importing quality food products to Australia and we are proud to be a big part of such a quality football club in what promises to be a very exciting year.”
