Victoria Beckham will launch a Public Relations drive to limit the damage of recent spats involving her husband on the football pitch.

LA Galaxy's David Beckham has been involved in two recent altercations with fans and is falling out of favour with the US public but his wife has decided that enough is enough.

A source said: "Victoria works hard on the image of Brand Beckham. She has always been eager to promote them as the perfect couple.

"David arguing with fans doesn't really fit in with that image and she was embarrassed."

David's spokesman also chimed in on the issues saying, "He and the family are happy in the States.

"There was an issue with a small minority of Galaxy fans, but the overwhelming majority have been very supportive."

Victoria expects a round of damage limitation telly interviews with the likes of Oprah Winfrey and David Letterman will win over critics.
