Victor Wanyama was delighted to prove Tottenham's matchwinner against Crystal Palace.

Wanyama admitted after the match his goal against Palace was "special" because it came in front of the Spurs fans.

Speaking to Spurs TV, Wanyama said: "It's difficult to explain. It means a lot to me - it means the world to me.

"Getting a goal on my debut in front of our fans is just amazing. It's the only thing I could ask for and I'm really grateful.

"I can't describe it, it's been a special goal for me."
