Off contract Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is in Monaco today.

Sport says the Spaniard arrived in the Principality yesterday for a medical ahead of completing his Bosman move.

Valdes came off contract with Barca this week and has had a pre-contract agreement with Monaco for some months.

The deal will be confirmed once he passes a tough medical, with Monaco management wanting to be sure his recovery from a knee injury is on track.
