Vicente wants to help Brighton into the Premier League - so he can face good friend David Silva.
Brighton new-boy Vicente, 30, who makes his debut at Bristol City today, played alongside Manchester City ace Silva for Valencia and Spain.
Vicente, once subject of a £32million bid from Real Madrid, said: "David's a very good friend and has done really well over here.
"Now I want to do well for Brighton and get us into the Premier League."
