Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher expects to sign a new Reds deal in the next month. New boss Roy Hodgson gave every indication at the weekend that the 32-year-old central defender will be retained beyond his current deal at Anfield, which expires next summer.
And Carragher is confident a deal will be struck without too many complications, while reiterating he intends to finish his playing career with the Merseysiders.
The Reds veteran told the club's official website: "Of course it's nice to hear. I am desperate to finish my career at the club and I'm sure that will be the case.
"If the manager has said these things, great. Once he's finished bringing people in we'll sit down and sort things out with no problems.
"It'll take two minutes, I think."
