Jan Vertonghen has challenged Tottenham to make up for their Champions League disappointment by winning the Europa League, reports the London Evening Standard.
Tottenham will enter Europe's secondary competition at the last-32 stage after their win over CSKA Moscow on Wednesday booked their spot.
Ahead of Monday's draw, Vertonghen said: "I believe we can win the Europa League, I think we can. Maybe the experience of the Champions League will help.
"We are very hungry to win trophies. It is a shame it will not be in the Champions League this year but we are one of the better teams in the Europa League. Now we have to show it.
"It was very important to beat CSKA for different reasons. We needed to get to the Europa League and put all the Wembley stories to bed.
"It's good to go to the Europa League with a win, and especially for next season as well (when Spurs are likely to play domestic home games at Wembley), so we are very happy we finally won here.
"It was important for us to show the fans and everyone watching that we can do the same at Wembley as at White Hart Lane. It's good to have the win in the bag so we can focus on other things."
