Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen was thrilled to win the North London derby against Arsenal.
The Belgian sensed something special was on yesterday.
Vertonghen said: "I only arrived six months ago but you could feel this was one of the most important games of the season.
"It's a North London derby and a first win for me so I'm very happy.
"Arsenal played very well in midfield and outnumbered us, with Santi Cazorla coming in from the left. We had a difficult first 30 minutes but we stayed compact and stayed playing as a team and the goals were at the best moment for us.
"We said not to concede a goal early in the second half, like Man United away - they scored but we can defend.
"We are a very strong team. We can play compact and we showed it again."
