Jan Vertonghen insists he doesn't regret choosing Tottenham over Arsenal in the summer.
Ajax assistant coach and Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp did his best to persuade the Belgian international to link up with Arsene Wenger.
But after meeting with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, the big defender was sold on Spurs.
Asked if Arsenal tried to sign him, Vertonghen said: "Yes. But I wanted to play here, so it was simple.
"I had already made my decision in my head that I wanted to play here. I'm not switching all the time, I make my decision and then I go for it.
"Tottenham came at the right moment for me and gave me a good feeling. I talked with Rafa van der Vaart and they invited me here and gave me the best feeling in the world.
"I hope we can win a prize. I think the main aim is maybe for Champions League qualification.
"We were always under pressure at Ajax - we were expected to win every game. I am used to it. We have a strong team here and the results will come. I am confident about it."
