Hellas Verona director of sport Sean Sogliano has explained turning down a move to AC Milan.
Sogliano rejected an offer from Milan during the season.
"Milan? No thanks," he told Telenuovo. "I would never have gone there to be Galliani's waiter.
"I chose to remain because I like a challenge. It would've been too easy to leave Verona after securing promotion and an excellent 10th place in Serie A.
"Our objective now is to improve the defence. We attacked well and defended well during this year. Many victories, but also many defeats. We need to reconsider that."
