Verheijen again attacks 'outdated' Liverpool boss Klopp, Chelsea's Conte

Dutch fitness coach Raymond Verheijen has taken fresh aim at Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

The former Wales assistant manager has hit out at both Klopp and Chelsea boss Antonio Conte's training methods.

Reacting to a story in today's Times which states that Antonio Conte's Chelsea players are unhappy with his intensive training regime, Verheijen tweeted: "Last year Conte got away with his training methods because Chelsea did not play in Europe so players had a week to recover between games.

"Shocking to see top coaches like Conte still do not understand the effect of accumulation of fatigue in relation to performance and injuries.

"Conte has the same outdated training methods like Jurgen Klopp as predicted already in 2016.

"No wonder both Chelsea and Liverpool are struggling this season. No European football last season masked their outdated training methods."
