Jordan Veretout insists everyone at Aston Villa are behind manager Remi Garde.

He is desperate for Garde, still fuming over Villa's non-existent transfer activity last month, to remain at the helm rather than carry out his threat to quit.

Veretout said: “Every single person here wants him to stay, of course. The boss is very honest, straight and strict. If he needs to see a player about something he'll do it himself. He's a very good coach.

“I am not thinking about my situation at all. My focus is on the job in hand. While there's hope we can still stay up, we'll continue to fight as hard as we can."
