Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek says his side need just two wins from their remaining four World Cup qualifying matches.
The Aussies take on Uzbekistan on April 1 and a win would make them almost certain to qualify from Group A in Asia.
"If we get six points (from the remaining four group qualifiers) we are 100 per cent qualified," he said.
"If we only have four points, there is a chance we have qualified.
"So if we get three points in our next game, we still need at least one point, because then you go on goal difference from there (should Australia lose two of their remaining games).
"So we go for three points; we want three points at home and then we will see what happens from there."
