Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek has praised Adelaide United youngster Daniel Mullen. The Australian U20 representative has been given his first call-up to the senior squad along with teammate Fabian Barbiero with Verbeek labelling Mullen as a 'quality' player.
"He [Barbiero] was one of the players we'd been looking at. He's good and he's still young. As for Daniel Mullen, he can play in the U/20s still but if he was not injured I'd have picked him for the Indonesia game," Verbeek said.
"With his [Mullen's] age, hopefully we can give him a little bit of a push for the upcoming months and years. He's an interesting player for us. We don't have that many right backs of that age with quality."
