Bari coach Giampiero Ventura hailed his players after their stunning 3-1 victory over Juventus.
Riccardo Meggiorini, Barretto and Sergio Almiron, against his former club, struck for Bari.
"I was worried at the absences, but I also said we'd have no regrets and would fight to the end. I had great faith in the players who went on to the field," smiled Ventura.
"It was an entertaining game with four goals, a missed penalty and many chances, so the crowd had fun. The Bari fans enjoyed it more, admittedly!
"We were facing Amauri, Diego and David Trezeguet with players in defence who have barely featured all season and are not terribly experienced. We're working to improve and wasted quite a few chances on the counter too."
The Galletti are now level on points with big-spending Napoli and in the race for a spot in Europe.
"We are Bari. Up until this season we'd been out of Serie A for nine years, so we must remember who we are and where we come from.
"We had to close down the spaces, as their quality would be given breath in space, and maintain the humility to play purely to win when we had the ball. Sometimes it goes wrong, such as when we lost at Napoli because we were attacking at the death with 10 men.
"I admit we were also lucky with some ricochets, but I doubt anyone could complain about the validity of Bari's victory."
