Former Tottenham and Barcelona boss Terry Venables has paid tribute to Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup.
El Tel wrote in The Sun: "Many expected the Swans to swallow dive when Brendan Rodgers left for Liverpool last summer.
"But, if anything, they have improved under Michael Laudrup.
"The Dane, while remaining true to the club's footballing principles, has sprinkled them with a new mental toughness and goal threat.
"The improvements were there to see when they thumped QPR 5-0 at Loftus Road on the opening day of the season and they have carried on in that vein.
"Laudrup and Swansea appears to be the perfect marriage.
"They both have the same footballing morals but recognise that if you want to be successful you have to evolve.
"Laudrup's tweaks have certainly made Swansea stronger."
