Former Chelsea striker Terry Venables says the club must stick with manager Andre Villas-Boas.

He explained in his column for The Sun: "There is no point sacking him now - that would be suicidal. He just needs to tweak a few things with his tactics and hope his players get back on their mettle and then things will be fine.

"He needs to be given as much time as is necessary. No manager, not even Jose Mourinho, could have come in to Chelsea last summer and turned this team into world-beaters."
