Terry Venables learned of his sacking as England assistant manager yesterday through the tele!
Former Tottenham and Barcelona boss Venables has been left upset as he discovered he had got the bullet by watching it on Sky News, says the Mirror.
The former Three Lions chief had feared the worse, but still expected to get a call from the FA's chief executive Brian Barwick.
Venables was left "deeply upset" and a pal said: "It seems typical of the way the FA have handled things."
But he will walk away with a healthy pay-off in excess of £1million after his contract to assist Steve McClaren was terminated.
