Velez Sarsfield have expressed interest in Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez.
Argentine football powerbrokers are convinced Tevez can be tempted back to the local championship after his fit of pique at City earlier this season.
The latest to confirm their interest is Velez, where technical director Christian Bassedas declared: "We would love to bring Tevez back home.
"But in Argentina, it is not like in Brazil, where the great names are returning to their homeland.
"In Brazil there are big investment companies behind the clubs - we do not have that here."
