Gino Peruzzi is on the verge of completing his mooted move to Sunderland.
The 21-year old Velez Sarsfield right-back has been tracked by the Black Cats who are looking for a quality full-back.
Peruzzi, who has made four appearances for Argentina and recently impressed in the Copa Libertadores for Velez, would cost Sunderland around £5million.
