Velez Sarsfield are pushing Valencia to drop their asking price for midfielder Fernando Gago.

Gago was loaned to Velez in January, but a hamstring injury has prevented him from making no more than three appearances.

Velez officials want to sign the former Real Madrid star permanently, but are seeking a discount on the original price agreed.
