Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan has lauded goalkeeper Keiren Westwood for his recent performances.
The 27-year old, who joined from Coventry City in the summer, has been used as the Black Cats number one recently following injuries to Simon Mignolet and Craig Gordon and Vaughan feels he is grabbing his chance with both hands, so to speak.
"He is a commanding goalkeeper and has taken his chance really well.
"There's been some real moments of magic, some great saves, and to come in at Old Trafford for a full debut can't have been easy.
"But Keiren has handled everything really well.
"Like me, he has had to wait for his chance but his patience has paid off.""Keiren has been brilliant - he's come in and really shown what he's all about," the former Blackpool ace told the club's official website.
