Manchester City striker Darius Vassell maintains he has no plans to leave Eastlands as the transfer window approaches.
Vassell said: "There is competition for places here, and everyone is fighting for their place. That's the way it should be.
"The team is playing well. We are working hard together in an attempt to push ourselves up the table.
"We have started well, but it is important to build on that in the coming weeks.
"I love it at City and want to do well here. That has always been my objective.
"This is where I want to be, because it is where I will become a better player."
