Juan Vargas plans to leave Catania in the summer.
"He has a contract until 2010, but I think in the summer he will leave the Sicilian side," commented agent Carlos Alberto Delgado on Firenzeviola.it.
He is of interest to a number of big Italian clubs, including Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina.
"As far as I know, Fiorentina have not put in a request for the player," added his agent. "Or rather, they have not asked me personally. I don't know if the club approached Catania directly.
"At the moment I would exclude a January departure, but you know what the transfer market is like. Tomorrow the situation could be different to what it is today."
