Vardy insists Leicester staying grounded despite stellar start

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy insists that the Foxes are still staying grounded despite their stellar start to the season.

The Foxes currently sit the top of the table ahead of Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal but Vardy reveals that the club's immediate objective remains to accumulate 40 points to ensure survival in the top flight.

When asked about the club's ambitions, he told Sky Sports: "Confidence is sky high, but we're also all very grounded. We know in football nothing can be taken for granted.

"That's why every week as soon as we finish the game, if we've got the three points we are straight away focusing on the next game and the training that goes into it.

"The simple fact is the gaffer's target was 40 points. The players know that and we just want to get there as soon as possible and then re-evaluate it and see what the next objective is."
