Vardy backs Shakespeare to succeed with Leicester

Jamie Vardy believes that manager Craig Shakespeare will be able to guide Leicester City to success during the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Shakespeare was appointed as permanent City manager this summer after he helped the Foxes comfortably navigate relegation last season but many feel that the 53-year-old might struggle during the upcoming campaign due to his lack of experience.

However, Vardy thinks that Shakespeare has done a brilliant job at Leicester so far and believes that the manager can continue to bring success to the King Power Stadium next season as well.

Vardy said: "We will have to see what the gaffer wants. They will be sitting down knowing where they want to be and where they want the club to be. I am sure as soon as we find that out that is what we will be aiming for.

"Shakey has been brilliant. He literally leaves no stone unturned. He knows the night before what we are going to be doing the next day and everyone is putting 110 percent in for him."
