Toronto FC head coach Greg Vanney has lauded star signing Sebastian Giovinco after his side's incredible 4-4 draw with New York City FC.
The Italian star scored a hat-trick, and went head to head with New York's David Villa, who netted two goals of his own in what is surely MLS' match of the 2015 season so far.
Giovinco also missed a penalty in the topsy-turvy contest, but Vanney heaped praise on the diminutive 28-year-old, who has scored 11 goals in 17 games since arriving at the BMO Field from Juventus at the beginning of the campaign.
"You see what he's capable of doing on a day like today because he brought out a lot of skills and treats," Vanney said.
"But every game is different. Today, he showed what he's capable of doing.
"This one has to go down as one of his best games for sure, he was excellent."
Toronto host Philadelphia Union next Sunday as they look to jump New York Red Bulls into 2nd place in the MLS Eastern Conference.
