Vancouver Whitecaps young gun Carducci gets Canada youth prize

Vancouver Whitecaps goalkeeper Marco Carducci has been named Canada's U17 Player of the Year.

The Whitecaps academy star guided the club to top spot in their conference in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy league this season and has been rewarded for his outstanding individual performance.

Carducci, who came through the Whitecaps residency program, was also involved in three U17 national team camps and joins past winners Bryce Alderson and Russell Teibert.
