USA national team captain Carlos Bocanegra has again emerged as a target for Vancouver Whitecaps.
The former Saint-Etienne defender's future at Scottish giants Rangers is in doubt as the club falls into further financial bother prompting the Whitecaps to look at the possibility of bringing him to Empire Field.
Bocanegra penned a three-year deal with Rangers in August but with the reigning Scottish champions likely to make big staff cuts soon, he could be on his way out.
It is apparent that Vancouver went after Bocanegra last summer before he signed with 'Gers indicating they could again be in for his services at the end of the current Scottish campaign now things at Ibrox are clouded.
