Vancouver Whitecaps sign Ghanaian youngster Koffie

USSF Division 2 outfit Vancouver Whitecaps have signed Ghanaian youngster Gershon Koffie.

Whitecaps head coach Teitur Thordarson has confirmed that the promising midfielder had signed but the club is awaiting his International Transfer Clearance.

Koffie becomes the Whitecaps' tenth signing in the past five weeks, joining fellow Africans Ridge Molubu (DR Congo), Alex Morfaw (Cameroon), Nizar Khalfan (Tanzania), Willis Forko (Liberia) and Doudou Toure (Mauritania).
