Vancouver Whitecaps president Bob Lenarduzzi feels they've helped Andy O'Brien rebuild his career.
“I think for him, we were a bit of an outlet for him to get out of that grind,” Lenarduzzi told the Vancouver Sun. “What he was going through — opposing fans would chant things, derogatory things — he just couldn’t get away from it. Here, he’s been able to get away from that.
“Not only has he come and done a good job on the field, he’s been a great asset to our community because he’s prepared to tell his story and help people.”
