Official release from Vancouver Whitecaps
Vancouver Whitecaps FC today acquired Seattle Sounders FC's natural third round selection in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft and in exchange switched places with Seattle in the 2011 Re-Entry Process Stage 2 Draft order.
Whitecaps FC were originally scheduled to select first overall in each round of the Stage 2 Draft however, after the trade, Vancouver held the 14th selection in each round and Seattle had the opportunity to select first.
With the 14th overall selection, Whitecaps FC passed - exiting from the Re-Entry Process.
