Barry Robson will depart English Championship club Middlesbrough to join Vancouver Whitecaps this summer and he admits it was an easy decision to make.
The 33-year old Scotland international will head to Vancouver when the current English season finishes and he has revealed that the Whitecaps were at the top of his list when he first thought about leaving the Riverside Stadium.
"It's something that has been in my mind for a while and as soon as I got the offer from (Whitecaps head coach) Martin (Rennie) and (assistant) Paul (Ritchie), it was a no-brainer for me.
"I've still got all my hunger and fitness still in me and I don't envision myself stopping playing soon," he added. "Fitness-wise and every-wise, I'm as good as I've ever been and I wanted to come over and try to make a difference for Vancouver.""Vancouver was always my first choice," he said.
