Vancouver Whitecaps keen on Hartlepool's Boyd

MLS expansion franchise Vancouver Whitecaps are reportedly keen on Hartlepool United striker Adam Boyd.

The 28-year old has appeared just 11 times for the 'Pools this term and could be released by the English League One club in time for the 2011 MLS season which kicks off in March.

Boyd started with Hartlepool in 1999 and has notched up close to 200 league appearances in just under eight seasons. He has also had stints with Boston United, Luton Town and Leyton Orient.
