Vancouver Whitecaps forward Sebastian Fernandez has been handed a four-match suspension as well as a fine.
The Uruguayan, who is on loan from Boston River, will serve a further two matches from the automatic two he copped for being red-carded in the Western Conference knockout play-off against FC Dallas on October 29.
Fernandez confronted referee Mark Geiger after the Whitecaps lost 2-1 and made contact with the match official which led to a straight red being brandished.
Now the MLS disciplinary committee have added the extra two matches plus a fine which means that Fernandez will not be available until Week 5 shall he remain with the Whitecaps next season.
