Vancouver Whitecaps have announced both a multi-year extension to their premier founding partnership with communications company Bell and the appointment of TSN as their official broadcaster, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The extension of the agreement with Bell will see the telecommunications company's logo remain on both the men's and women's playing shirts and kits. It will also continue to receive branding at the Whitecaps FC community youth initiatives.
No financial details of this extension have been disclosed but the original agreement was worth in excess of US$4 million per season.
The agreement with TSN will run from the beginning of the 2014 MLS season. The network will broadcast all of the Whitecaps matches live via its TSN and TSN2 channels.
The games will also air in French on RDS and RDS2. It will be the first time that all of the Whitecaps matches have been available on the same network.
