Vancouver Whitecaps cast eye over Peruvian quartet

MLS expansion franchise Vancouver Whitecaps have cast their eye over a foursome of Peruvian players according to reports.

Universitario de Deportes defender John Galliquio, wingers Jesus Rabanal and Giancarlo Carmona and forward Raul Ruidiaz were all watched at Estadio Monumental training on Monday by Whitecaps director of soccer operations Tom Soehn and other Vancouver officials.

Peruvian website elbocon.pe suggests that the quartet are attracting plenty of interest from the Canadian club who are in the process of putting together a competitive playing roster for their step up to Major League Soccer in 2011.

All four players are key members of the Lima-based club who took out the Peruvian Primera Division title last season.
