Incoming MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps are expected to unveil former DC United coach Tom Soehn as its technical director.

The 'Caps, who will play in the new North American Soccer League this year, before entering the top flight in 2011, will bring in the 43-year old this week.

Soehn has extensive experience in MLS as a player with FC Dallas and Chicago Fire before becoming an assistant at the Fire prior to his lead role at DC United. His tenure in Washington commenced at the end of 2006 and ended at the end of last season after he removed his name from consideration to be re-appointed for the role.
