Van Zweden reveals Swansea owners put profits in 'rainy day fund'

Swansea City co-owner John van Zweden says the club's investors have not gorged on the club's profits.

Swansea announced record six-month profits this week.

"We are now the only club that makes a profit," Van Zweden told NUsport. In 2002, he committed €60,000 to the club.

"Yesterday was a return to my account. A nice bonus, but no more than that. In total there is only one million paid, the rest of the money goes into a jar for a rainy day. We only had our money back.

"We love this club and just want Swansea to have the ability to perform."
