Van Wolfswinkel revealed yesterday the positive feedback he got from the likes of Manchester United's Robin van Persie earlier this summer on international duty during a two-date tour of the Far East - that saw him earn his second senior cap against Indonesia - confirmed he had made the right career choice in swapping Lisbon for Norwich.
"Yes, I spoke to him and all the Dutch players who played in England," he told the Pink 'Un. "I played earlier in my career with the likes of Michel Vorm, Vurnon Anita and Tim Krul. They just confirmed my impression about the Premier League - that it is the biggest one in the world.
"When you are playing the games and in the stadiums they say it is even better. Everybody I spoke to advised me to come."
