van 't Schip ready to go ahead with full Melbourne Heart squad

Melbourne Heart coach John van 't Schip says he is looking forward to having his entire squad at his disposal for the club's debut A-League season.

The new franchise have been getting their squad together in their first pre-season and have had a few interruptions along the way in regards to players being on holidays and World Cup duties but the next week or so will see all but one player back in action and preparing for their first match for premiership point against the Central Coast Mariners on August 5.

"Matt Thompson is on his way back, Wayne Srhoj is on his way back, John Aloisi is doing very well in his rehab," van 't Schip said.

"The only one who is a little bit far behind is Kristian Sarkies. So we will get three players with us before the start of the first game on the 5th (August) and then we just have to get the balance right on the pitch."

Key defender Michael Beauchamp and veteran midfielder Josip Skoko arrived in Melbourne just days before the Heart took on English Premier League outfit Everton on Wednesday night and now the newest A-League team are inching closer toward having almost all of their inaugural players fit for the 2010/11 season.
