Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that Robin van Persie only wanted to join Manchester United.
The Dutch striker today completed his £24million, four-year move from Arsenal with Ferguson making it clear that he did reject the overtures of various other clubs to head to Old Trafford.
"The boy wanted to come. He turned down various clubs," Fergie told MUTV.
"If he hadn't told Arsenal he wanted to go to Manchester United, the transfer wouldn't have happened."
