Van Persie wants Arsenal to be just like Phil 'The Power' Taylor

Robin van Persie has called on his Arsenal teammates to draw inspiration from Phil 'The Power' Taylor.

Van Persie fears they need to aim to follow in the footsteps of 'The Power' to hit a bullseye in the Premier League.

Van Persie, who now has 29 goals in his last 28 Premier League games, said: "A great team never eases off after a good win.

"They don't enjoy it too much, they look ahead to the next one and want to do it again. In that respect, we can learn from someone like Phil Taylor.

"The Power is someone who when he senses his opponent getting weaker, gets even better - like a machine. You have people in different sports who ease off at those times, but we should be like Phil.

"When you sense something, be ruthless and finish them off. We can improve on that aspect.

"We need everyone to think that way and then do it as a team."
