Robin van Persie reportedly has four games to save his Manchester United career.
The Express suggests that the Dutch striker needs to really impress manager Louis van Gaal in the final month of the Premier League season if he wants to remain at Old Trafford next season.
Van Persie, 31, has been restricted to 25 appearances in England's top flight this season mainly due to an ankle injury but will get the chance to start in the Red Devils' final matches in the expected absence of captain Wayne Rooney.
Former Arsenal skipper van Persie is contracted with United until next summer but could be offloaded by van Gaal at season's end if he deems him surplus to requirements.
Van Persie arrived at Old Trafford for £24million in the summer of 2012 and has since scored 58 goals in 103 appearances for United.
