Arsenal's Robin van Persie admits he is extremely proud to be the captain of the club and admits it as an honour to have his name placed alongside a quartet of stars.
The Dutch striker was installed as Gunners skipper last summer when Cesc Fabregas departed for Barcelona and is enjoying the role which was filled by some big names before him.
"If you look at the history of Arsenal captains, being part of that is a very special feeling.
"It makes me proud because Arsenal is a massive club. You look at Tony Adams, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Cesc Fabregas - those guys were proper captains. I like it, it feels comfortable and not weird.""I was very proud [to be made captain], obviously," he told the club's official website.
