Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could revive his bid for Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh over Robin van Persie's ankle injury.
Van Persie is upbeat over his setback, confident he'll be back in "four to six weeks", however scans today will reveal the true extent of the ligament damage.
The Sun says fellow striker Nicklas Bendtner is already out until the New Year after groin surgery and Wenger could be forced to spend in the January transfer window.
Chamakh tops his list but Wenger pulled out of an £8m August move for the Moroccan. French side Bordeaux will force the price up for a mid-season move.
